Dr. Pamela Joyce
Dr. Joyce received her BA in neurobiology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. After working in research for several years she returned to the University of Pennsylvania for Veterinary School and earned her VMD in 1997. She worked in several small animal practices over the next few years then joined Red Bank Veterinary Hospital after moving to New Jersey with her husband. Realising that there was a need for comprehensive medical care that could be provided in the patient's own home, Dr. Joyce founded Veterinary Housecall Services of New Jersey.
In 2016, Dr. Joyce became certified in veterinary medical acupuncture. Unlike acupuncture performed by those trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine which relies upon unproven theories, medical acupuncture is founded on a working knowledge of the anatomy of the nervous system and an understanding of how the nervous system regulates all bodily functions.
When she is not practicing medicine Dr. Joyce enjoys hiking with her dogs, gardening and cooking.
